Background

Seawork SA is the local subsidiary and a member of the Seawork Group of Namibia. The Group was founded in 2002 and is based in Walvis Bay, Namibia. It specializes in the catching, processing and marketing of frozen hake and other fish products.

Five trawlers and two high-tech processing plants enable Seawork to supply superior seafood products to the food industry. It’s products are enjoyed across the globe (Europe, US, Australia and South Africa). All production facilities of the Seawork Group are HACCP approved.


South African Operation

Since 2009 the South African subsidiary operates from a depot situated at Silver Lakes, Pretoria. It is responsible for the marketing and distribution of Seawork products to the wholesale food industry in South Africa and neighbouring countries

In addition, it also operates two seafood retail outlets for the purposes of providing direct access to its products to the housewife. They are located in:

  1. Silver Lakes, Pretoria , and
  2. Waterkloof Heights, Pretoria

Sustainable Fishing

Seawork operates under the Namibian Authority’s regulations for sustainable fishing (Namibia Sea Fisheries Act, 1992) and supports the sustainable fishing initiatives of organisations such as the MSC, WWF/SASSI – sustainable fishing is our future.
